CLE06230 30 Count 11-25 lb Cleans-A-Dent Rawhide Chews for Medium Dogs

My three dogs love these things. They are not inexpensive so they are not an everyday thing. Of course, there is hiding, burying and stealing going on every time. Dogs should definitely be supervised as someone usually tries to swallow the last slimmy square inch or two. Great product.

I recommend these highly to anyone whose dog has dental disease or halitosis. Firstly, as a vet tech who has seen every type of dog mouth in every state of dental disease, let me say if your dog's teeth are caked with cement-like tartar, they probably need a dental cleaning. BUT these are great for maintaining dental health, preventing that caked-on tartar, and getting rid of some plaque and bad breath. I used to try things like Greenies and OraVet chews, but my dog would almost swallow them whole, and they were large compared to his size. With these chews, they have to work and gnaw at them and so I think they're more likely to reap its benefits.

These are a little inconsistent in size and in texture--some pieces quite thick while others close to translucent, and some a mere 2" square while occasional piece is twice that size. This was my first time trying these and I think they do the trick for my dogs' teeth, but I like being able to readily find "matching" pieces because I give them to two dogs at once--and I don't dare make it easy for one to chew hers a whole lot faster than the other one does ;-) Perhaps I will try the larger pieces in the future, although the value doesn't feel as good, especially having to give to two dogs at a time...

This is my dog's favorite brand of teeth-cleaning dental rawhide chews. He has tried all 3 major brands and definitely prefers this one. Because the rawhides are fairly thin and treated with an enzyme coating, they are a short-term chew. The benefit I see is that at 5 1/2 yrs. old, he has no signs of dental plaque or gum disease. He gets 1 medium size chew a day and it's usually gone in 10 min. or so. At 30 lbs. he can have the medium or large size chews. Mediums aren't very big (size varies but usually about 2" by 3" but that's what I buy to keep down the cost. I don't think this product is the only reason his teeth are in such good condition but I do think they help.

I've used this product before, but my vet only ever carried the small dog size. It kept all but his back molars clean. That's why I bought the one for medium dogs from Amazon. I don't have to brush his teeth. I just give him one of these each night, & he loves them. I'm hoping this correct size will get those back molars. I also like that there's a month's worth in each bag.

My dog loves these and one chewy gives her hours of chew time, I would not recommend these for medium dog unless they have trained to chew completely because of the size variety.

My girl likes these too, but some are thick and difficult for her to chew on.

My dog loves these treats and doesn't know that they are good for him. His breath is much better if he get a clenz-a-dent daily and we can go longer between teeth cleanings. As a biter there is no way that I am going to brush his teeth so I was so glad when the vet tech suggested this alternative.
