Exactly what I bought it for
Bought mainly for aesthetic purposes because I only ever use Bluetooth, but also because the stock antenna on my truck was really long and would snap and flap around all over the place. I can’t attest to how well it works in rural areas, but worked fine the couple times I’ve listened to the radio in town. It looks great and was super easy to put on.

I am somehat disappointed with amount of static and lost of receiption

Great replacement unit
I’ve used these before and just put this one on my truck. My only grips is that the rubber piece will begin to spin before I feel like I got it tight enough. That said, it’s on there and working fine. And looking good.

product looks great and installs without issues. however after 3 years mine broke off in a carwash.

Not as good as factory antenna
I had a difficult time installing the antenna as it would not screw all of the way into the threaded hole where my factory antenna was, I ended up having to unscrew the threaded piece from the new antenna and use a pair of pliers to screw it into the vehicle before I could install the antenna. Also, the reception is not nearly as good with this antenna (6 3/4) as my factory antenna was.

Customer service saved the day.
Did not fit so I started the return process. The seller intervened with a suggestion, just change the thread stud to the correct one. The correct threaded stud was mailed to me at no charge and it worked perfectly.

6 3/4" Pefect for a Ram 2500
Sometimes longer is not better, as is the case with the 40 foot long antenna that comes on a Ram 2500. Mine was bent from fighting an automatic car wash brush and needed to be replaced. This little guy is perfect. Easy install and reception for FM radio appears unchanged. Why this isn't a standard size antenna on vehicles from the factory is beyond me.
