I absolutely love this product, use it every day on job sites and recommend it highly.In addition to the one that's always on my belt, I mounted one on my miter saw stand and one on my table saw stand.Some things to understand:-The belt clip of the Speedclip will often not stay attached to your belt on when you draw your tape measure, pulling off of the belt along with your tape measure. This is a problem with basically every type of tape measure clip that clips over your belt instead of threading through your belt.-However, this is easily fixed: either glue the end of the clip at the bottom or tape the bottom of the clip so you have to slide it onto your belt (see my first picture).-The pencil holder WILL fit a carpenter's pencil (see picture), but then it may become stretched out and too loose to fit a "regular" pencil afterwards.-I prefer mechanical pencils with 5.6 mm leads; these leads can be sharpened in the built-in sharpener (the pencils don't fit in the pencil holder, unfortunately).-Try one: it's only $1.99.

It is a piece of plastic with a slot for the clip of a tape measure, or most anything else with the same style of clip, with a mediocre pencil sharpener and pencil holder.If it cost more then it would most definitely not be worth it but as long as the price is low enough then it will work.I wanted it to use as a bench mount and it works for that. The belt clip doesn’t make me think that it would last a long time if you were regularly taking it off and on a belt. The pencil sharpen really doesn’t work that well and is quite slow at sharpening a basic #2 pencil that had never been sharpened yet, fresh out of the box, but it does eventually get it done. It almost had me chucking the pencil up in my drill to get it done faster tho.One big thing that I want to point out is that the tape clip slot tops out at 1-1/4” tho. Which pretty much all of my tape measures fit easily except for the one tape measure that has always lived in the bench and the one that I had intended to have it live in this new home. The clip on that tape measure is 1-5/16ths” of an inch. Of course it can be pressed in there anyway since the holder is just plastic but it definitely doesn’t actually fit naturally.But hey, it was cheap enough so it still gets 4 stars for the price and that it does actually do what I wanted it for even if it doesn’t do it perfectly.

Definitely dollar store quality.

NO PRACTICO NI USUAL

This is a great option if you want something cheap, yes the material is inexpensive, yes it could break if you misuse it, and yes it could come off if you don't use it properly, but who cares its 2 bucks. try to use it for light-duty purposes and it'll do great. if you have the right belt it'll hold an impact just don't do anything crazy as it could break. This product is great and I ended up buying another one since there cheap and I can have them everywhere!

This thing is great. An amazing value as compared to many other similar products simply meant to hold your tape measure and not wear out your pants pockets. It sits securely on your belt or pant waist and the tape measure slides in/out of the holder with ease. Retention on a belt is better than just pant waist or pocket. The integrated pencil holder and sharpener work very well. A bonus is that it could be mounted to a wall or bench if you needed a tape holder there.As compared to the many other similar products out there at significantly greater cost this is a winner.

At first this seemed to be a good product, after a week of using it, my tape started to fall off every time I had to bend over. The clip of the tape was stretched out due to the width of the plastic. Quit using it due to this.There are holes in the unit that would allow it to be attached to a stationary object.
