We’ve tried a vast variety of leads with our 9 month old Labrador Retriever, some of which have lasted longer than others. For me, this lead was about having a back up plan if she pulled too hard & I lost grip of her lead- then this lead attached to the belt on me would provide peace of mind that she could not run excitedly away onto a dangerous road or something.I started using this lead as I first anticipated. However, with daily use I realised I did not need a secondary “normal” lead - as this lead is sufficient with it’s padded handle half way down the lead which you can hold if your dog needs to be stopped at a road or to change direction quickly.There is so often a time with a puppy where your hands are full- with poo bags, treats, the pulling of leads- then entanglement with other dogs leads on a walk...I’m really pleased with the quality of fabric used to make this lead, the stitching seems strong- and has yet proven to withstand a good amount of (constant force!)The belt that goes around me is adjustable and has a good amount of length to adjust to larger waists. I am a size 18 and wear the belt around my hips- yet there is still a large amount of adjustable room unused, (unlike many belts for sale today............) so this belt could be adjusted to fit a lot of different sized people.The tension absorbing portion of the lead that attaches to the dog is well designed and lessens the load on the dogs harness, which I appreciate - and I would imagine so does my pup!Ps love the colour- fluorescent pink and very clearly seen out on the road. The hardware seems durable and I don’t have any concerns about weight bearing load affecting it at all, but time will tell.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who asked- and will certainly repurchase another few for different locations- car- house- back up lead in case of loss or leaving it somewhere! Mainly this lead is unique to me as it provides peace of mind that you can relax on a walk, whilst your dog feels slightly more free to walk alongside you (or in front of me in my case!)

At last a 6ft training lead that is girly and patterned. Would have received five stars had there been a ring so as to more easily hang around my neck. Would have paid more for this. Still like it though and look forward to seeing it reflect in the dark.

Does the job. It's a good lead, not much or any stretch but thats okay. It's sturdy. Handle loop is very big, could have been smaller (I have big hands).

Great product. Came exactly as pictured. One thing to note before buying, it’s very long compared to your average lead.
